Ceiling Height Partitions: Secure 64mm bottom track and top track with appropriate fasteners spaced 600mm maximum centre. Determine width of starter panel to achieve balanced appearance at ends of wall at door openings. Attach “Supreme” standard track against end walls, attaching to wall at 600mm centres. Stand remainder of studs in tracks with open side facing away from wall starter.
Boxed studs must be used around all openings. Fix to top and bottom tracks with pop rivets. All corner studs should be fixed in place. Cut “Supreme” corner post to length and fix to 64mm stud.
Apply chips to the leading edge of the panel at 450mm centres, commencing 450mm down from the top. Clips on the trailing edge of the next panel are also space at 450mm centres but are offset approximately 50mm from those in the leading edge of the previous panel. After knocking clips into the board, bend the clip over slightly, squeeze some glue under the clip, press it down firmly and remove the excess glue.
Position the split stud on the centre of the ceiling grid. Slide the panel into the corner post and clip to the split stud. Fix the bottom of the sheet with 25mm, No. 6 bugle head screws. Progressively mount the succeeding panels by locating the” Supreme” clip into the split stud.
Plasterboard stud adhesive should be applied at 450mm centres to intermediate studs when 1200mm wide plasterboard panels are used. Repeat procedure on other side of wall. Space studs at 600mm centres then fix to top and bottom tracks. Fasten bottom of sheets and clips as described previously. The last panel in any run of wall must be carefully cut to width allowing sufficient clearance.
NOTE: When using Vinyl Coated Plasterboard use correct Stud Adhesive (waterbase glue).
Cut panel shorter than floor to ceiling height so that panel will slide sideways below top track. Push the panel into the wall starter first. Locate clips into the split stud, push panel up gently into the top track and then fix bottom track with 25mm, No. 6 bugle head screws. A variable speed screw gun should be used to ensure that screws are not overdriven when fixing the board to the bottom track.
